Since 2022, Capital Area Food Bank and the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area have hosted the Regional College Hunger Conference to address rising food insecurity among DMV college students. We were tasked with creating a distinct identity that resonates with a diverse college audience. Inspired by the connection between education and nourishment, we designed a logo featuring a mortarboard graduation cap with a fork as the tassel. Using shades of green to represent the mental and physical growth that starts with food, we extended the branding across signage, presentation templates, print materials, and conference swag. Each year, we refresh the design while maintaining a cohesive identity, ensuring the conference continues to make an impact.
